Hi, my name is Klaus R. Zimmermann, and I am a UX and digital product designer, currently based in Singapore. After living in Berlin and San Francisco working for technology companies and innovation labs such as the BMW Technology Office, Deutsche Telekom and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), I joined in 2012 the German UX design firm MING Labs in Shanghai. During the following years, I worked at the Berlin as well as Shanghai office location and had the chance to get a better understanding of what it means to grow a team from 5 to 60+ people across different continents within a few years. After my relocation to Singapore in 2016, I have been spending most of my time with setting up another office location here.

In 2018, I joined NTUC Social Enterprises Centre of Excellence as Lead UX Designer, where I am currently expanding my in-house experience while being responsible for in-store fulfilment and warehouse management systems within the omni-channel ecosystem of FairPrice: Online Grocery Shopping & Delivery (Singapore’s biggest online supermarket).

As a result of working in start-ups, design firms and in-house production teams of corporate organisations, I have grown into a delivery-oriented Lead Designer with focus on positive company culture, the experience for leading teams as well as the skills to manage complex projects, through an end-to-end product development process. While gathering expertise in various industries and topics, I had the chance to work with clients and partners, such as:

ASG Technologies, Baxter, BMW, Daimler, DBS, Denza, FairPrice, Luke Roberts Smart Lighting, MANN+HUMMEL, NCS, NTUC Social Enterprises, Red Bull, Siroop, Sony Creative Center, Standard Chartered, United Technologies, VIU Eyewear, Volkswagen.
